ASLS' Enrichment Clubs are perfect for individuals looking to bond with others over shared interests! These informal groups meet regularly, are free to attend, and operate on a donation-only basis. If interested, register by selecting on the club name of choice or selecting "View All" below. Playing Chess

MONDAYS

Description: Yoga Club is perfect for anyone looking to reduce aches and pains, quiet their busy mind, and feel more energized. The social nature of the club creates accountability and community. Join fellow members on the journey toward improved health and inner peace.

Description: Make new friends who share your passion for plants. In the Gardening Club, you'll swap secrets for growing gorgeous blooms, harvesting bushels of tomatoes, and more. Get support and inspiration for your gardening goals, go on nursery visits, and tend community gardens together. Whether you're an expert grower or just starting out, the Gardening Club helps you grow your skills. Tend your green thumb with a community of like-minded gardeners, and plant the seeds for a healthier, more vibrant you.

Description:  Play and sing music you love with fun, welcoming folks. Bring your non-amplified instrument, guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, bongos, whatever, and lyrics if needed. If your voice is your instrument, just bring that. We’ll sit in a circle and go person to person. Those who have a song they like will lead the jam for that song. Those who feel like just playing or singing along with the songs being performed are welcome to do so. Expect a variety of musical genres to be covered, from bluegrass to blues, rock to folk, soul to gospel. Jamming is a fun way to strengthen your music muscles.

Description:  If you love card games like Bridge, Pinochle and Rummy, the Playing Card Club is for you! Our community brings together people who enjoy playing cards in a comfortable, social environment. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned pro, you'll master traditional knitting and crochet techniques, embark on fun group projects, and learn the Japanese art of amigurumi to make precious 3D shapes and stuffed animals. Description: Sometimes we feel lonely or isolated due to losses in our lives such as death, divorce, and relocation. Other times stress can be overwhelming. “Let's Listen” is a self-care club that promotes a love of self and others through conversation, laughter, and camaraderie. It is a safe space for supporting one another, sharing strengths and weaknesses, and creating a way of thinking that focuses on the positive.

Description: Breathe new life into fabric scraps and create unique handmade goods! The Sewing Club brings together crafters of all skill levels to learn techniques for machine and hand sewing.First up: decorative placemats with pretty borders to spruce up your tablescape. Our patient teacher provides guidance for beginners and challenges for experienced sewers. Bring your own machine, tools, and fabrics (some tools and fabrics will be made available). Meet fellow sewing enthusiasts in a relaxed, creative environment. Take home custom creations that make thoughtful gifts, and save money by repurposing materials, and reduce waste by fixing old items. Join the Sewing Club and rediscover the joy of making things with your own two hands!
