Recognition from SCE&G and SC Lt. Governor's Office on Aging
September 28, 2016
South Carolina Electric & Gas made a donation on Monday, September 26, received by the SC Lt. Governor's Office on Aging, that will assist Aiken Senior Life Services and three other agencies within SCE&G's service areas with their hot meal delivery programs. This donation will reduce our waiting list of homebound seniors who are in need of a hot meal.
Lt. Governor Henry McMaster received the donation on behalf of the four agencies, which will be distributed equally to each agency. Major Thomas Louden of The Salvation Army also announced a new partnership between SCE&G and The Salvation Army to provide year-round energy assistance to SCE&G's senior, low-income, and special needs customers.
We want to thank SCE&G and the Lt. Governor's Office on Aging for this remarkable support, and we look forward to meeting more of the needs in the community!
